Typhoon Haikui is bringing heavy rain and strong winds to many parts of Taiwan. Apart from this, several domestic flights along with air services to Hong Kong and Macau have been cancelled. According to the meteorological department of the island, the wind was blowing at a speed of 155 km per hour. 9 lakh people and 80,000 boats of fishermen have been moved to safe places. 460 flights have been cancelled. Power supply has been disrupted due to the storm. The typhoon hit eastern Taiwan. After which there was heavy rain. This is the strongest storm in the last four years. More than 21,000 houses are in blackout as power supply is disrupted. Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen said the rain had created a risk of landslides. Army has been deployed in sensitive areas.
